A new thing

Hello everyone!
I know it's been a while since I've written but I have been so busy with the shop.

Teapot & Snail has been on Etsy for a while now but I was thinking there is so much going on behind the scenes that you don't see on the shop - I just had to share it in a blog - so I've started one up over at http://teapotandsnail.blogspot.com/.

I've been coming across so many gorgeous new fabrics in my quest for something to inspire the latest pattern, and here are some of the latest cuties:

I'm totally loving the Japanese fabric house Kokka's Echino collection and the two you see above are Viewfinders and Sunglasses, which I used to design a super-huge beach/travel tote, the Overflow bag:

It's already been really popular - kind of a surprise really, but I think a lot of people have been looking for something really enormous! There are a lot of patterns for cute small bags or big ugly bags, but I thought why can't we have big and cute in the one bag?!
