Purple

The groovy cast (very difficult to get your own arm in shot!):

The first bit of knitting...accomplished by sticking the needle end into the top of the cast. Rather painful - won't try that again for a while:

Notice how the stitches are kind of twisted. One side of each stitch is sloped and the other side is straight up and down. And already the piece is warped from the guage changing as I knitted. Better get working on that scrapbooking instead - thanks Meg!

Wow, that's impressive knitting - the swelling must have gone down a lot! Just don't overdo it! (And also, have you used this yarn before? because doesn't sometimes the twist of the yarn result in that one-half-sloped stitch? There was an article about it on Knitty.) Anyway, scrapbooking would probably be easier to photograph as well. Just a thought.

okay - see to a non-knitter this piece looks just fine.... better than i could do with neither arm IN a cast.... but maybe time to turn your artistic talents to something less taxing on the ol' arm - just for a while huh?
